Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, Liverpool Club legend in the making, rejects the idea of comparing him to his compatriot Omar Marmoush, the forward of Eintracht Frankfurt and the top scorer in the German League. Salah said on the sidelines of a symposium he held at the Sharjah International Book Fair, Sunday, that talking about Marmoush being the "new Salah" will harm the latter and will not benefit him as some imagine.
Salah stressed that Marmoush needs to enjoy his own experience and not involve him in special comparisons, explaining that the 25-year-old is still at the beginning of his football experience and needs to stay away from pressure.
Regarding his advice to Marmoush, Salah explained, saying: "Marmoush has great potential and is a very important player for the Egyptian national team and Frankfurt Club. All I want from him and from people is to stay away from comparisons."
Regarding his advice to athletes in general, Salah responded by saying: "An athlete must read a lot about psychology because when you understand people and your ability to deal with them, you will be in good situations."
It is noteworthy that Marmoush has been performing well with Frankfurt this season, as he tops the list of top scorers in the German league with 11 goals, tied with English striker Harry Kane, Bayern Munich, and he also made history as the first to score three free kicks in three consecutive matches since the Argentine legend Lionel Messi with Barcelona.
