German club Eintracht Frankfurt announced its position on selling its Egyptian international star Omar Marmoush in light of his remarkable brilliance this season.
Omar Marmoush has shone with Frankfurt during the current season and there are many major clubs interested in obtaining his services, most notably Liverpool, Arsenal and Barcelona.
The Egyptian star participated with his German club in a total of 16 matches during this season in all competitions, during which he scored 14 goals and assisted 10 others.
Marcus Krosch, the sporting director of Eintracht Frankfurt, opened the door to the possibility of Omar Marmoush's departure, but indicated that the value of the 25-year-old exceeds his market value, which is estimated at about 40 million euros.
"When you have a player with such qualities as Omar Marmoush, it is natural that there are interested parties and speculation about him," Markus Krosche said in statements reported by the German newspaper "Welt am Sonntag."
He added: "For Marmoush, this problem does not appear in everyday life. The performance that the player shows is an important indicator of this. He performs well in training, not only in matches. You can see how comfortable he feels in Frankfurt."
The Frankfurt sporting director stressed: "We have a certain market value in mind for each of our players. If a club comes and pays this value, we will allow the player to leave."
Regarding Marmoush's market value, which is estimated at 40 million euros according to the website "Transfer Market" specializing in this matter, Krosche concluded his statements with a smile: "It will not be enough."
Frankfurt will play its next match after the international break against Werder Bremen.
