Real Madrid's French international striker Kylian Mbappe has sparked controversy amid his absence from his country's national team during the international matches schedule for the current month of November. France's coach, Didier Deschamps, has decided to exclude Mbappe from the "Roosters" squad that will face Israel and Italy on November 14 and 17 in the European Nations League.
The absence of the French captain from his national team continues, after it was decided to exclude him from the last international matches schedule in October, due to his suffering from a minor thigh injury.
In light of his failure to join the French national team in the current camp, Mbappe posted a group of photos on his Instagram account in which he appeared with his former Moroccan teammate Achraf Hakimi, Paris Saint-Germain's full-back.
French reports said that Mbappe traveled to Paris to celebrate Hakimi's birthday after he turned 26, and the duo appeared enjoying their time playing "PlayStation". However, what sparked controversy and shock among Real Madrid fans on social media was the appearance of the "hookah" or what is known as "shisha" in the background of one of the photos published by Mbappe.
It was not clear whether Mbappe or Hakimi smoked or not. One fan commented on the photo, saying: "What we were missing was Mbappe spending his vacation days smoking, this man is laughing at all Madridistas (Real Madrid fans), again," referring to the French striker's sudden withdrawal from joining Real Madrid in 2022 before signing for the team this summer.
Mbappe is currently going through a difficult period and a state of doubt, as he has not scored in the last 4 matches he played with Real Madrid, as his last goal dates back to October 19 against Celta Vigo in the Spanish League.
