French striker Kylian Mbappe has not found his form since his move to Real Madrid last summer, raising questions about the reason behind his dip in form. The French newspaper "L'Equipe" shed light on Mbappe's condition after he was excluded from France's list for the current international break by decision of "Les Bleus" coach Didier Deschamps.
The newspaper spoke to some of Mbappe's close associates, without mentioning the names of most of them, as one of them said: "Call it what you want, but Kylian has been suffering from a mental problem for several months, which cannot be solved easily, treatment requires some time and the supervision of specialists."
Another person said: "The problems started from the moment when there were a lot of people around him, in the past his parents were keen to take care of him completely, but now there are a huge number of people talking to Mbappé directly." In another testimony, Tiemoue Bakayoko, a close friend of the Frenchman who played with him at Monaco, explained: "The most important thing is that Kylian can rediscover the joy of playing football again, and the rest will come later, perhaps at this moment not coming to the French national team is the best thing for him."
He defended him, adding: "People have a very short memory, they should sit on the couch and review a little everything Kylian has achieved and they will realize that they are wrong, we can never doubt him, he has done a lot for France, Paris Saint-Germain and Monaco."
The Get French Football News website previously reported that Mbappé is having difficulty adapting to Real Madrid, and is unhappy with not being a key player in the team, and his involvement as a suspect in the rape case in Stockholm last October is putting psychological pressure on him.
It is noteworthy that Mbappe, 25 years old, managed to score 8 goals and made 2 assists in 16 matches he played with Real Madrid this season.
