Real Madrid announces 2 more injuries ahead of Liverpool match

12 November 2024

Real Madrid announced in an official statement that its players Rodrygo Goes and Lucas Vazquez have been diagnosed with injuries after undergoing medical tests, Monday. The duo suffered injuries in Real Madrid's match against Osasuna last Saturday in the 13th round of the Spanish Football League.

Apart from Rodrygo and Vazquez, Real Madrid has suffered from many injuries this season, affecting several players who are considered pillars of the team, namely Thibaut Courtois, Aurelien Tchouameni, Eder Militao, Dani Carvajal, and David Alaba.

Real Madrid said in a statement, "After the tests conducted on our player Lucas Vazquez by the club's medical staff, he has been diagnosed with an injury to the long adductor muscle in his left leg, and the case is still being monitored." The statement added, "Rodrygo has been diagnosed with an injury to the anterior rectus muscle in his left leg."

Real Madrid did not specify a date for the return of the injured players, but the newspaper "Marca" expected Vazquez to be absent for about a month, and Rodrigo for between 5 and 6 weeks.

Thus, Rodrygo and Vazquez will not be able to participate in Real Madrid's match against its guest Liverpool, scheduled to be held at "Anfield" stadium on November 27, as part of the fifth round of the league stage of the Champions League.
