Liverpool have moved 5 points clear on top of the Premier League table following their sublime performance against Aston Villa (2-0) in the match that brought them together on Saturday evening, in the 11th round of the English Premier League. Uruguayan striker Darwin Nunez put the "Reds" in the lead with an early goal he scored in the 20th minute after an assist from a counterattack led by his teammate Egyptian star Mohamed Salah.
The Egyptian "Pharaoh" scored the second goal for the home team with a stunning finish in the 84th minute of the match that took place at "Anfield" stadium. Mohamed Salah raised his tally to 8 goals in 11 matches against them in all competitions, in addition to 4 assists.
The Egyptian star has now scored in the fourth consecutive match in the English Premier League, having previously scored against Chelsea, Arsenal and Brighton. Liverpool have raised their tally to 28 points, 5 points c from runner-up Manchester City, who suffered a surprise defeat against host Brighton earlier on Saturday evening as well.
