Spanish star Rodri, the maestro of Manchester City, and winner of the 2024 Ballon d'Or, admitted that he did not receive any congratulatory messages from Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Rodri won the 2024 Ballon d'Or on October 28, after obtaining 1170 points, outperforming the Brazilian Vinicius Junior, who received 1129 points.
Rodri spoke to the newspaper "L'Equipe" about his happiness at winning the award, and when asked about the congratulatory messages he received from previous winners of the Ballon d'Or, he replied with a laugh: "Let me see my phone, there are no messages from Messi, Cristiano, Modric or Benzema."
"Andres Iniesta. In fact, the first person I replied to, in my opinion, is the best Spanish player ever, and he deserves the Ballon d'Or (he came in second in 2010 and third in 2012)" Rodri said.
