3 reasons why Ronaldo will not move to Al Hilal

7 November 2024

Media reports suggest Al-Hilal Saudi club is looking to sign the Portuguese player Cristiano Ronaldo, the captain of Al-Nasr club during the upcoming winter transfer window, as Ronaldo's contract with Al-Nasr expires in June 2025, which gives him the right to negotiate with any other club during the next transfer window.

However, the transfer of Ronaldo to Hilal faces many obstacles.

The first of which is no other than Serbian Alexander Mitrovic, Al Hilal and the Saudi league's top scorer with 10 goals so far, on the other hand, meanwhile, Ronaldo occupies the third place with 6 goals, behind Karim Benzema of Al Ittihad in second place with 8 goals.

Therefore, it may seem illogical for Al-Hilal officials to think of adding Ronaldo and spending huge amounts of money.

Secondly, during the period of Ronaldo's time with Al-Nasr, his name was associated with the dismissal of the coach Rudi Garcia, despite the competition of "Al-Alami" for the title with Al-Ittihad by only three points.

During his time in Juventus and Manchester United, Ronaldo's name was associated with the departure of 5 coaches due to lack of satisfaction with the technical method of managing matches, or for public disagreements and verbal abuse.

And it raises concerns among Al-Hilal regarding the challenge tha may pose to the authority of Jorge Jesus, Al-Hilal's coach and the disruption in Al-Hilal's environment.

Finally, Ronaldo will be an additional financial burden on the club, which are burdened with high salaries, including the Brazilian Neymar da Silva.

According to the British "Daily Mail" newspaper, Ronaldo receives 177 million pounds from Al-Nasr, bringing his salary to 3,403,846 pounds per week.

Al-Hilal would like to have an international name in the list of participation in the Club World Cup, where the management has put the most names of the failed contract with Ronaldo, among them the Egyptian international Muhammad Salah of Liverpool, and the Brazilian Vinicius Jr. of Real Madrid.
