Al-Nasr Club of Saudi Arabia inflicted a crushing defeat on its guest, Al-Ain of the Emirates (5-1) in the match that brought them together on Tuesday evening, in the fourth round of the Western Region Group in the AFC Champions League. Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo scored the second goal for the "global" team in the 31st minute of the first half.
The Saudi team achieved its third victory over Al Ain Club in 6 matches that have brought them together so far throughout history, against two losses and one draw.
Al Nassr Club also achieved its third consecutive victory in the current season (2024-2025) of the AFC Champions League in its new form, raising its score to 10 points, and taking sole third place in the general standings of the Western Region Group, only two points behind the Saudi duo Al Ahli and Al Hilal, the leaders of the standings.
On the other hand, Al Ain Club, the title holder, suffered its third consecutive defeat, and dropped to last place on the standings with a single point.
