Egyptian star Mohamed Salah broke several records during Liverpool's match against Arsenal (2-2) on Sunday evening, in the ninth round of the English Premier League. Salah saved the "Reds" from defeat by scoring the equalizer in the dying minutes, ten minutes before the end of the original time of the match, at the "Emirates" stadium in the capital, London.
With this goal, the Egyptian "Pharaoh" became the Liverpool player with the most goals scored against Arsenal with 11 goals, equal to his former teammate, Brazilian Roberto Firmino, currently a player for the Saudi Al-Ahly team, and the third top scorer against Arsenal in the history of the competition, after English star Harry Kane, with 14 goals with Tottenham, and Wayne Rooney with 12 goals with Manchester United.
More importantly, Mohamed Salah became the eighth top scorer in the English Premier League history with 163 goals, equaling English star Robbie Fowler, and surpassing the record of Tottenham Hotspur legend Jermain Defoe.
The Egyptian international contributed to scoring 15 goals this season with Liverpool in all competitions, after scoring eight goals and providing seven assists for his teammates.
It is worth noting that Mohamed Salah's contract with Liverpool will expire at the end of the summer of 2025, amid great interest from a number of clubs in the Saudi League.
